Parks,
Az where the
Ponderosas are tall, the air is clean and wildlife is
plentiful. Parks is located about half way between Flagstaff
and Williams, AZ. We have mostly sunny days and 4 different
seasons. In spring there will be warm days and beautiful
wildflowers, summer will bring the green grass and days filled
with sun and an occasional thundershower. Fall has crisp days
and cool nights plus the added color of Aspen and Oak trees.
In winter enjoy the snow by snowshoeing, cross country skiing
or snowmobiling under bright blue skies. Wildlife in the area
includes large elk herds, deer, antelope and many species of
birds all of which can usually be seen from your home or along
the roadways.
There are unlimited recreational
activities all just a short distance away such as the Grand
Canyon, Snowbowl, numerous golf courses, Lake Powell, Sunset
Crater, Meteor Crater just to name a few. In Flagstaff and
Williams there are many cultural events held throughout the
year such as Winterfest, the Route 66 Car Rally and the Pine
Country Pro Rodeo.
Parks has one elementary school, a deli,
a restaurant, a community church and general store. Year around
